Dalai Lama receives US Congressional Gold Medal

Oct. 17: US President Bush gave the Congressional Gold Medal to the Dalai Lama – it’s one of the highest US honors. The Dalai Lama has been living in India and working from peace from there. Bush called on China to open talks with the exiled spiritual leader. China, however, views the Dalai Lama as a separatist and traitor, and condemned the US Congressional award as interference in China’s internal affairs. But at a news conference earlier in the day, President Bush said that he did not think his attendance at the ceremony would damage U.S. relations with China. Jon Decker reports.
Singapore Airlines receives the first Airbus A380

Oct 15: The first delivery of an A380 marks the culmination of Europe’s biggest industrial project which has taken 7 years of effort and cost 11 billion euros ($15.5 billion). Problems with installation of wiring in the A380 project by two years, pushed the Airbus into loss, and toppled the management. The plane received by Singapore Airlines can seat 471 people and will enter service between Singapore and Sydney on 25th October, starting with a flight whose proceeds will go for charity. Al Gore and UN Panel Win Nobel Peace Prize

The CLP-350N offers enhanced economy with its increased toner capacity yield, capable of printing 4,000 pages
in black & white and 2,000 pages in colour, with each cartridge. Samsung’s unique bottle shape toners are affordable and easily replaceable to provide the end-user with an all-round cost efficient print solution. The CLP-350N is also network ready, enabling it to accommodate additional users as the business expands.
The Samsung colour laser printer delivers vibrant and glossy colour prints with a 2,400 x 600 dpi resolution, and supports both Postscript3 and PCL6 emulation in standard operation. For improved consumer convenience, Samsung offers an increased paperinput capacity of 250 extra sheets with a second cassette feeder and additional 128MB memory.
